Bourjois Rendevous À Paris 2009
- 2 minute read
[affiliate] If there’s one thing (many things, but just for today) I could kick myself for, it’s not keeping this beautiful limited edition set from Bourjois complete. There are a couple of items missing from the box (which I can only assume that I used up) which came as a set of five eye shadows and three blushes.
The set is a collaboration between Bourjois and artist Nathalie Rété with whimsical pictures of Paris.
I think you can see I thoroughly gave up trying to make these stand straight!
One of the things that is very noticeable is how frosted and sparkly every single colour is – even the blush. I’d forgotten about that high-beam Bourjois twinkle.
Shades going left to right are: Ambre D’Or (blush), Beige Rose (eye) and Blanc Diaphane (eye).
Next up: Violet Absolu (eye), Lilas D’Or (blush) and Argent. Bourjois press days were always so fun – usually held at their offices in central London – and to this day I’m still friends with the then PR, Lesley and we meet up quite regularly for a quick glass of something. If this has got you hankering for Bourjois, which actually stopped being sold in UK stores at the end of last year, Very has 9 pages of current Bourjois products, including Healthy Mix, one of my favourite foundations ever (very similar to True Match) HERE, non affiliate HERE. I still feel sad that such a long-standing, affordable brand didn’t flourish under its new owners (Coty) – I mean, it was in existence since 1863 and to let that go – more than just a shame. *thows hands in air*
